Journey’s End Cape Doctor 2020 750ml is the flagship Bordeaux-style red blend from Journey’s End Estate in Stellenbosch, named after the famous south-easterly wind known as the “Cape Doctor” that cools the vineyards and contributes to the exceptional quality of the fruit. Crafted from a blend of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, and 10% Petit Verdot, the grapes are sourced from five premium vineyard blocks on the Schapenberg slopes overlooking False Bay. Each parcel is vinified separately before maturing for 22 months in French oak barrels, with the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot aged in new French oak and the remaining varieties in second-fill barrels. The 2020 vintage is a powerful yet elegant expression of Stellenbosch terroir, offering exceptional concentration, refinement, and ageing potential.

The nose reveals intense aromas of cassis, blackberry, and rich fruitcake, beautifully complemented by cinnamon spice, dark chocolate, eucalyptus, and subtle mint.
