Named after the mythical Griffin featured on the Gabb family crest, this exceptional wine is produced from over 30-year-old Syrah vines growing on south-facing Oakleaf soils, just 7 kilometres from False Bay. A distinctive carbonic maceration process enhances the wine’s vibrant fruit profile before it is matured for 16 months in a combination of 30% new American oak and 20% new French oak barrels. The 2018 vintage is a beautifully balanced expression of Stellenbosch Syrah, combining power, elegance, and remarkable ageing potential.
