Description
Kloovenburg Eight Feet White 2024 750ml is a premium white blend from Kloovenburg Wine & Olive Estate in the heart of the Swartland. Named in honour of the Du Toit family’s four sons—”Eight Feet” representing their combined footsteps—this elegant Rhône-inspired blend combines 53% Grenache Blanc, 28% Chenin Blanc, 14% Roussanne, and 5% Verdelho. The grapes are hand-harvested during the cool early morning hours, whole-bunch pressed, and naturally fermented in large cement tanks before spending seven months on the lees. With no malolactic fermentation, the wine retains its vibrant natural acidity while developing remarkable texture, complexity, and purity, beautifully reflecting the distinctive schist soils and Mediterranean climate of the Swartland.
The nose opens with fragrant aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus, pear, and a delicate hint of baking spice. On the palate, vibrant citrus and juicy stone fruit are complemented by subtle notes of orange zest and a creamy, textured mouthfeel derived from extended lees ageing. A refined mineral backbone and bright acidity lead to a long, elegant finish with exceptional freshness and balance. Kloovenburg Eight Feet White 2024 pairs beautifully with grilled fish, salmon, roast chicken, pork dishes, creamy pasta, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, making it an outstanding choice for both relaxed entertaining and refined dining.
