Description

Neil Ellis West Coast Sauvignon Blanc 2024 750ml is a premium South African Sauvignon Blanc crafted from old bush vines grown in the Groenekloof region near Darling on the West Coast. Influenced by the cool Benguela Current, morning ocean mist, and persistent coastal breezes, the vineyards produce grapes with exceptional freshness, vibrant fruit expression, and a distinctive saline minerality. The wine is fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks and spends extended time on its lees to enhance texture and complexity while preserving the purity of the fruit. The 2024 vintage is an elegant expression of coastal terroir, offering remarkable balance, crisp acidity, and refined character.

The nose reveals vibrant aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit, lime zest, and gooseberry, complemented by delicate hints of fresh herbs and flinty minerality. On the palate, layers of citrus, tropical fruit, green apple, and subtle saline notes are beautifully balanced by lively acidity and a textured mouthfeel. The finish is long, crisp, and refreshing with lingering mineral and citrus flavours. Neil Ellis West Coast Sauvignon Blanc 2024 pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, oysters, grilled fish, goat’s cheese, summer salads, and light vegetable dishes, making it an ideal wine for warm-weather entertaining.
